HOW TO SAVE ON FUEL COSTS

Plan your week.  With fuel prices sky rocketing, another way you can save is to plan out your week’s trips so you can visit locations that are close to each other on the same day.  Also, try to plan your trips and errands when traffic is lighter. Scheduling where and when you will run your errands will save time and gas money.

Know some “rules of the road”.  You can also save gas by driving at a consistent speed, not using cruise control on hilly roads, slowing down rather than stopping (when you can), and taking off slowly from a full stop,

Take advantage of gas cards and rewards cards.  Using these can provide you with rewards, incentive or cash back.  Loyal customers to a certain brand can reap benefits.  However, only use credit cards if you pay off your balance in full every month.
