A Few of Annie’s Favorites #2

Every now and then I said I would tell you about some products that I tried and really liked.  The products I told you about last month were Veggie Straws, Veggie Patties, and Roasted Garlic and Black Bean Tortilla Chips.  I had gotten all these from my shopping trip to COSTCO, where I do a lot of my shopping.  This month, I have 3 new products to tell you about.  These too, I also purchased at COSTCO.

Beans, Rice & Cheese Style Burrito from Cedarlane Natural Foods – This is a very tasty low fat organic burrito.  One burrito has 260 calories and only 1 gram of fat.  The taste is just great and it is a very satisfying meal.  Sometimes I’ll have one for a quick lunch.  Other times, when I need a quick and easy dinner, I will make a few of these and serve them with some fresh tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. They can be either microwaved or heated in the oven.  I think your family would enjoy these burritos.  My family does.

Traditional Aussie Bites from Best Express Foods, Inc. – This is probably one of the best tasting snacks I’ve ever had.  These little snack cookies are made with great ingredients like rolled oats, honey, raisins, dried apricots, sunflower kernels, flax seeds, and shredded coconut.  Each serving (1 cookie) contains 610 mg of Omega-3 and is made with whole grain and no Trans Fat.  The only problem I have with these is it is very hard to eat just one.  Each cookie is 130 calories.  My family, including my 11 year old daughter, loves these.  I think it’s a good snack – it’s packed with healthy ingredients.

Kefir Cultured Milk Smoothie from Lifeway – The pack I bought at COSTCO contains twelve 8oz. plastic bottles of Kefir, 6 blueberry flavored and 6 strawberry.  Each bottle has 140 calories and contains 10 live and active Kefir cultures, along with Lifeway’s ProBoost Trademark.  These Kefir Smoothies are a healthy drink/snack, and a great way to include more calcium and probiotics in your diet.  I love the convenience of the individual serving bottles, which makes it a great item to include in your child’s lunchbox.

I always like looking at people’s shopping carts when I am shopping.  I love to see what they are buying.  That’s interesting to me.  I would love to know what they have to say about certain products too.  That’s why I am including these types of posts.  I’m telling you what my family has tried and liked, and why we like it.  I hope you find this information helpful.
