Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

These yummy bars are really easy to make, and you can whip them up really quickly. You’ll get the great taste of peanut butter and chocolate together in a dessert bar. Kids love them and they are a good treat to make for summer get-togethers.

You will need:

1 stick of butter, softened (1/2 cup)

¾ cup creamy peanut butter (I use JIF)

¾ cup brown sugar

½ cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla

1 ½ cups of flour

½ tsp. baking soda

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Beat butter, peanut butter, and the two sugars in a large bowl until creamy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add the flour and baking soda and mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Press the mixture into a 13×9 pan sprayed with cooking spray.

Bake for 18 -22 minutes till golden brown.

Cool and cut into bars. Enjoy!
