Happy Father’s Day Daddy!

My dad is the best dad in the entire world.  He’s always there for me when I need him, he makes sure he spends time with me and my family, and helps me with my problems.  Whether it’s going fishing or studying for a test, when I’m doing it with my dad, I’m always having fun.  At our cottage, my dad and I have a great time together.  We go fishing (I don’t mean to brag but I’m way better than him… just kidding!) and we catch bullfrogs.  We even invented a crazy “tip-toe” walk so we don’t scare the bullfrogs off.  I also have a lot of fun riding our jet-ski together.  My dad and I go crazy on it.  We have a lot of fun together but, sometimes we’re very serious too.  Whenever my dad can, he always talks to me about life.  We discuss our problems and figure out what to do about them.  I really enjoy it when my dad talks to me about my faith, and how I can be a better Christian.  Every morning before I go to school he says, “Who always keeps his promises?” and I say “God.”  Then he says, “And, who can you go to for anything,” I say “God.”  When I’m going through a tough day, I can always remember those words and feel a lot better.  I think my dad is very wise about God’s word.  My dad has taught me the importance of my family and my faith.  Through his words and actions I’ve learned that I should thank God whenever he allows me to have fun with my dad, and to remember God is always with me.  I’m so lucky to have my dad!

 I love you.

Love,  Elizabeth

  1. Elizabeth, you are such a special person. You are the sweetest, most honest and loving person I have ever met. Thank you for being such a wonderful young lady. Your parents must be so proud of you. Thanks for sharing this special story! Your dad is such a wonderful person. What an awesome tribute.

  2. Elizabeth, I just had the opportunity to read your tribute to your dad for fathers day. He sounds very special but so do you. This is the kind of love and closeness that I wish more families had. Also the picture of the two of you is beautiful. The world is lucky to have people like you and your parents in it. God bless you all.
